June 19 – Three Ely area fire departments were dispatched this morning (Sunday) to a house fire in Morse Township. The fire was reported around 10:30 a.m. in the 3100 block of the Van Vac Road. Heavy smoke and flames were seen by the arriving fire crews. No injuries were reported, but the home was extensively damaged.
