May 4 – Members of the Fayal Fire Department took advantage of tonight’s ice conditions on Ely Lake and practiced a number of ice rescue techniques. These techniques involved several scenarios from self rescue to using the department’s ice rescue boat. The Fayal Fire Department reminds residents that the warm weather has led to deteriorating ice conditions on area lakes.
