An 11 month old boy, Bentley Joe Lewis Koski, died Wednesday morning in a house fire in Tower. The Tower, Breitung, and Greenwood fire departments were dispatched around 7:40 a.m. to a report of smoke coming from a two story house in the 800 block of 3rd Street North. Approximately an hour later, firefighters reported finding the infant and called for an ambulance along with advanced life support from the Virginia Fire Department and Lifelink Air Medical. The Minnesota State Fire Marshal’s Office, Breitung Police Department and the St. Louis County Sheriff’s Department are assisting in the fire investigation.
A 24 year old Hibbing man was later arrested in connection with the infant’s death. He faces charges ranging from manslaughter to child neglect to drug possession. Some of the information in this story provided by WDIO-TV.
