Take Advantage of the State Reimbursement Program!
The cost of educating and training our firefighters continues to increase and for many of our fire departments, it is a real financial challenge. The Minnesota Board of Firefighter Training and Education has about $1 million to help reduce these costs through a reimbursement program. The deadline for seeking assistance through this program is November 1 and I would encourage all of the region's fire departments to take advantage of this very worthwhile program. Remember, the application deadline is November 1st! Don't delay!! It could save your fire department a lot of money!
