Rural Hibbing Mobile Home Fire
January 6, 2009 — Hibbing firefighters responded to a mobile home fire at 3930 North Hughes Road in rural Hibbing at around 4:25 p.m. Arriving crews found no visible fire, but black smoke billowing from underneath the structure. Hibbing Fire Marshal Jim Iammatteo said the fire was confined to that area of the home, although there was some smoke damage to the rest of the house. No injuries were reported and crews were on the scene for about an hour. The cause of the fire was traced to faulty wiring.
