Rural Grand Rapids Home Damaged

November 5, 2008 — The Grand Rapids, Coleraine, Cohasset and Hill City fire departments were called to a house fire on Wesleyan Drive in rural Grand Rapids around 9:10 a.m. According to Grand Rapids fire officials, the fire began in an outdoor unattached garage, spread to a lean-to and then to the house, which had extensive damage. The fire caused over $200,000 in damages. One of the homeowners, who was home at the time, was able to get out safely. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
