House Fire in Chisholm

October 4, 2008 — Chisholm firefighters spent the early morning hours battling a house fire at 311 NW 11th Street in Chisholm. The blaze was called in around 5:20 a.m. by a passerby who saw flames coming from an outside wall. The two story house, which was being remodeled at the time, had extensive smoke and water damage. Chisholm Fire Chief Bob Brown told The Northland Fire Wire that the fire was caused by an extension cord which was being used with a space heater. No injuries were reported. The Hibbing Fire Department brought in a Rapid Intervention Team (RIT) while the Chisholm Ambulance Service provided Rehab services.
