Mesabi Range Extrication Expo is Huge Success
October 27, 2007 — The Extrication Expo hosted by Mesabi Range Community and Technical College is being termed as a huge success. According to MRCTC Fire Program Manager Steve Flaherty, 40 firefighters from 18 departments took part in the one day event at the Eveleth campus. More than 20 vehicles including: cars, vans, school buses, semi truck cabs and even a mining truck cab were featured. "This was a great training opportunity," said one participant. "I really learned a lot from all of the scenarios." Flaherty said he was extremely pleased with the turn-out. "There is definitely a need for this type of training. From all indications, we are going to offer this again."
