Cloquet Business Destroyed
March 11, 2007 — Firefighters from Cloquet and two surrounding communities battled high winds and water supply problems when a late afternoon fire broke out at the Cloquet Home Center, 1100 Industry Avenue in Cloquet. The fire started around 4:20 p.m. The employees reportedly saw fire near a warehouse area and tried to put it out with a fire extinguisher. The Esko and Carlton fire departments were called in for assistance to provide water to the scene. No injuries were reported. The cause of the huge blaze remains under investigation.
