Babbitt Bar and Restaurant Destroyed
March 29, 2004 — An early morning fire destroyed the Babbitt Junction Dining and Sports Lounge on County Road 70 in Babbitt. The fire was reported around 4:45 a.m. and arriving crews found the building already engulfed in flames. Firefighters from Babbitt, Embarrass, Pike-Sandy-Britt and Morris-Fall Lake were called in for mutual aid. The business is considered a total loss. No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
