Chisholm Home Destroyed
July 31, 2006 — An early afternoon fire destroyed a home in the southwest section of Chisholm. The blaze was reported around 12:11 p.m. in the 600 block of Second Avenue S.W. Firefighters from Chisholm and nearby Hibbing remained on the scene for several hours. According to Chisholm fire officials, the fire started in the garage and quickly spread to the rest of the house. Several firefighters were treated on the scene for possible heat exhaustion due to high temperatures and high humidity. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
