Canyon Area Home Destroyed
May 12, 2011 — An early afternoon fire in the Canyon area destroyed a home at 7707 Birch Road. The blaze was reported by a neighbor around 12:00 p.m. The house was engulfed in flames when fire crews arrived. Firefighters from Northland, Canosia, Grand Lake, Cotton and Ellsburg battled the fire. No one was home at the time. The home was a total loss. The cause is under investigation.
