Biwabik Pizza Business Damaged
April 26, 2011 — An early morning fire damaged Poor Gary's Pizza located in downtown Biwabik. The fire, reported around 12:10 a.m., originally came in as an intrusion alarm at the building. An arriving Gilbert police officer noticed flames and smoke inside the structure and immediately called for the Biwabik Fire Department. Arriving firefighters quickly knocked down the fire, which was in the walls and ceiling. No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation. No damage estimate was available. The fire forced the closing of State Highway 135, which goes through downtown Biwabik.
