Man Sentenced for Peerless Auto Body Fire

February 9, 2011 — A 25 year old Duluth man was sentenced for starting the fire which destroyed the Peerless Auto Body Shop in Duluth's Lincoln Park area. Kevin Luick had admitted to authorities that he accidentally set the blaze while using his cigarette lighter. Luick pleaded guilty to several charges in one count of starting a "negligent" fire. He will spend six months in the St. Louis County Jail and must make restitution. The early morning fire occurred December 27 at 2831 West Superior Street.
