911 Observed in Grand Rapids
September 11, 2010 — A number of public safety personnel from throughout Itasca County participated in two events in honor of those who died in the line of duty during the September 11, 2001 attacks in New York City and Washington, D.C. A procession of emergency vehicles came down Pokegama Avenue in Grand Rapids. Following the processional, a memorial service was held at St. Joseph's Catholic Church.
