Wildland Fire Academy Brings in Over 400
June 5, 2010 — Officials at Mesabi Range Community and Technical College report that this year's Wildland Fire Academy, held at Itasca Community College in Grand Rapids, was another great success. Over 400 firefighters, some from as far away as New York, New Mexico and Maryland took part in classroom and hands-on training sessions, which were held June 1-4.
