Fire Wire Adds Facebook Page
March 4, 2010 — The Northland Fire Wire has a Facebook fan page called "Friends of the Northland Fire Wire." Fire Wire consultant Carl Samuelson of Wisconsin helped to establish the fan page and now Fire Wire Editor Pete Makowski is adding information. "I am hoping that those who support the Fire Wire will use this site to give us story ideas, pictures and information about their fire departments," said Makowski. "One of my pet projects is the development of a Classic Apparatus section, with pictures of older engines, ladder trucks and rescue apparatus which can be found at various northeastern Minnesota fire departments. These pieces of equipment have quite a story behind them. We would sure like to hear those stories and see the pictures."
