Car and Dump Truck Crash Near Chisholm
October 27, 2009 — Fire and EMS personnel from Chisholm were dispatched to a two vehicle crash on Highway 169, near the east entrance to Chisholm. The crash, reported around 12:45 p.m. involved a passenger car and a dump truck. The female driver of the car, 20 year old Stevie Peikey of Chisholm, had to be extricated by Chisholm firefighters who used the Jaws of Life to open her driver's door. Peikey was transported by Chisholm Ambulance to Fairview University Medical Center-Hibbing with minor injuries. She was later released. The 30 year old driver of the dump truck was not injured.
