Investigation Continues Into Hibbing Warehouse Fire
August 28, 2009 — The investigation continues into the August 26th blaze which destroyed a warehouse in the west side of Hibbing. The blaze was reported around 12:10 a.m. in the 2200 block of 5th Avenue West. Arriving firefighters found the building already engulfed in flames. Defensive operations were immediately put into place. No injuries were reported. The Chisholm Fire Department was called to provide a Rapid Intervention Team. The building once housed Tony's Construction and at the time, was being used to house a variety of equipment. Hibbing Fire Marshal Jim Iammatteo told The Northland Fire Wire that it will be awhile before a cause is determined.
