Suspect Arrested in Bois Forte Tribal Office Fire
August 7, 2009 — A 20 year old Nett Lake man has been arrested in connection with the July 20th fire which destroyed the tribal headquarters offices of the Bois Forte Reservation in Nett Lake. 20 year old William Isham was taken into custody on July 31 at a residence in Duluth. He was charged in federal court in Duluth with arson and remains in custody. The fire, which was determined to be arson, was reported around 3:20 a.m. Firefighters from Bois Forte and the nearby Orr Fire Department were called in to battle the blaze. No injuries were reported. Investigators determined that the fire had been set in several places. The multi-agency investigation involved the Bois Forte Police Department, Federal Bureau of Investigation, Bureau of Indian Affairs and the Minnesota state Fire Marshal's Office.
