Greenwood's New Pumper/Tender
The Greenwood Fire Department recently took delivery of a new pumper-tender from Custom Fire Apparatus of Osceola, WI. The 750 GPM PTO Waterous pump and 2,000 gallon tank is mounted on an International 7400 4 X 4 chassis and is powered by an International MaxxForce 9,330 horsepower engine. The apparatus also has a FoamPro 2001 foam system. The cost of the pumper-tender was $299,000, with $237,500 being provided by an Assistant to Firefighters Grant (AFG) from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. The Greenwood fire Department provides fire, rescue and EMS to an area in and around the eastern end of Lake Vermilion, near Tower.
