August 15 – Virginia, Eveleth, Mountain Iron, and Hibbing firefighters were paged this morning to a report of a house fire in Virginia. The alarm came in around 7:30 in the 100 block of 3rd Street South. Arriving Virginia firefighters discovered that there were some curtains on fire and the fire was extinguished by a resident. Firefighters ventilated the apartment house. No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation by the Virginia Fire Marshal’s Office.
