Virginia house damaged

July 7 – Firefighters from Virginia, Mountain Iron, Eveleth, Fayal Township and Gilbert were dispatched to an early morning house fire in the Pillsbury Addition of Virginia.  The fire was called in around 2:30 a.m. at 922 14th Street North.  Arriving firefighters found smoke coming from the two story residence, which was being remodeled at the time.  Most of the damage was contained to the basement.  No injuries were reported.  The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Virginia Fire Department and the Minnesota State Fire Marshal’s Office.  It is believed to be accidental.
