The Virginia Fire Department and the Minnesota State Fire Marshal’s Office are continuing their investigation into a house fire on May 22nd. The fire was reported around 3:50 p.m. at 801 8th Street South. Firefighters from Virginia, Mountain Iron, Eveleth and Fayal assisted in fighting the blaze, which started in the basement of the house. Two family dogs died in the fire.
